Taj Mahal- Worlds most Romantic tourist place


As we know that Agra city was built by Ibrahim Lodi in 1504. Tajmahal is the symbol of love and romance which is situated in Agra is the third district of Uttar Pradesh and it is one of the best romantic tourist places of India . Taj Mahal was built by Sahah Jahan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. He is born in 1592 and her wife Mumtaz was born in 1593. Mumtaz Mahal is one the favorite wife of Mongol emperor named Sahah Jahan and after 3 years of marriage his lovable wife Mumtaz died. Sahah Jahan in 1632 began the construction of a tomb for his wife called Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal situated on the southern bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. It took twenty-two years to complete with about 20,000 workers and it is one of the best examples of Mughal architecture. This building is surrounded by four minarets 138 feet and is based on a platform of 315 square feet of marble. Each side has a 110 foot arch and the center of the dome is about 200 feet high. The building is built in a style of Islamic architecture that attract people to tour India.

Centered in the building is a tomb of Mumtaz Mahal and beside her tomb is the tomb of Sahah Jahan. The bodies of the two are covered in a crypt beneath the building.The overall plan of the Taj Mahal is symmetrical. Symmetric means that one side of the building could reflect the other side if we cut down in the middle.The tomb of Sahah Jahan was later added to the building.
 
Sahah Jahan was defeated by his son and jailed in the Red Fort in sight of the Taj Mahal and  spend the last eight years of his life in prison until his death in 1666.
